Between March 6 – 8, 2026, SUT’s FL community embarked on an journey through Ayutthaya, Bangkok, and Thammasat University (TU). More than just a trip, this tour served as a dynamic fusion of cultural discovery and high-level academic seminar participation, empowering students to connect Thailand’s rich past with the future of language education.”

March 6: Cultural Immersion in Ayutthaya
The journey began in the historic city of Ayutthaya. Students visited iconic sites, including Wat Mahathat, famous for the Buddha head entwined in tree roots.
This “Cultural Immersion” day allowed students to reflect on Thailand’s historical significance before transitioning to the modern landscape of Bangkok’s Chinatown for a group networking dinner.

March 7: Academic Seminar at Thammasat University
The highlight of the trip took place at Thammasat University. Students attended the International ELT Conference, engaging in sessions regarding the latest trends in English language teaching.
This core objective provided students with a platform to see their studies applied in a professional, international context.

March 8: Leadership & Cultural Development
Before returning to Nakhon Ratchasima, the group focused on “Soft Skills.” After a visit to the National Museum, students gathered at Samyan Mitrtown for a SWOT Analysis session. This critical reflection helped students identify their strengths and areas for growth as future language professionals.

Trip Conclusion
The trip concluded with a safe arrival back at SUT at 17:30, leaving students full of inspiration, opportunities for future collaboration, and a better global perspective to help prepare for their future careers in the global community.

If TU staff is reading this, we hope to be able to do seminar trip like this again.

Love from SUT to TU ❤
